The SUNY Oneonta women's lacrosse team stepped on a chilly All College Field with an eye on building off Saturday's solid win at Oswego. The Red and White did just that as they overpowered in-town rival Hartwick 20-6. Rookie
Taylor Casey (Garden City South/Kellenberg Memorial), sophomore
Heather Fitzpatrick (Plainview/Plainview JFK) and senior
Jillian Donodeo (Holbrook/Sachem East) paced the offense as each chalked up four goals on the evening.

The aforementioned trio accounted for Oneonta's first six goals. After trailing 1-0 in the opening stages of the first half, Fitzpatrick tallied the Red Dragons' first two goals half a minute apart. Senior
Michelle Genovese (West Islip/West Islip) set up the first goal at 6:33 before made the other possible at 7:04. Donodeo and Casey alternated the next four points. The freshman handed out helpers on both Donodeo goals at 7:26 and 10:52.

Casey started adding to her team-leading scoring total on a feed from sophomore
Katie Flannery (Massapequa/Plainedge) at 9:15, then again on a solo effort at 13:52. Junior
Catherine Clark (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills) rounded out a seven goal run by the Red and White with her 11
th goal of the season at 15:32.

The Hawks put up a pair of goals 30 seconds apart in the 17
th minute only to be answered immediately by the hosts. Freshman
Jaime Morris (West Nyack/Clarkstown South) got in the fray at 17:08 of the first half with her 10
th goal of the year before senior
Nikki Fioretti (Yorktown Heights/Yorktown)'s 15
th tally at 18:20. Genovese responded to a pair of Hartwick goals with a free position tally with just under five minutes left in the opening stanza to send the game to the half at 10-5.

While the offense rifled 32 shots in the first 30 minutes, the defense restricted the Hawks to just a dozen. Freshman
Autumn Moore (Baldwinsville/C.W. Baker) played the first half between the pipes making a pair of saves.

Donodeo and Casey picked the Red Dragon offense up right where they finished in the first half, each meeting twine for the third time on the day less than a minute into the half. The Red Dragons put up the half's first five goals in barely over three minutes of play.

Hartwick scored their lone goal of the half at 5:19 before Oneonta's final push. After Morris answered the Hawks' goal, rookie
Lindsey Rose (Camillus/West Genesee) recorded her first career goal at 11:09.

Casey added her 40
th goal of the season before Fitzpatrick ended the game the way she started it. Her last two goals, which came within a minute of each other, puts her at a half dozen on the campaign.

Rori Stark (Brewster/Brewster) played the second half between the pipes make one save.

The 4-6 Red Dragons take a few days off before traveling to Brockport for a SUNYAC contest on Saturday.
