Kissimmee, Florida - The SUNY Oneonta women opened up their spring campaign dropping consecutive matches to Roger Williams College 1-8 and to Ursinus College by the identical 1-8 score.

The highlight of the morning match was senior Brynn Sussman (Highland Mills/Monroe-Woodbury) setting a record with the most overall wins by a female tennis player in the last 16 years.  Sussman clinched the victory when she defeated her opponent from Roger Williams with an impressive straight set score of 6-3, 6-2.  In the night cap she added on to her record triumphing over her rival from Ursinus College with an equally impressive score of 6-2, 6-2.

In doubles play junior Michelle Spencer (Homer/Homer) and Sussman came out on the short end of the score losing in a tiebreaker 8-9 (1-7) to their challenger from Ursinus coming back though from 0-3 to make it an exciting close match.

The SUNY Oneonta Red Dragons will be back in action on Thursday, March 12th  when they  take on Lake Forrest College from Illinois beginning at 4 PM at the Orlando Tennis Center.
