The Red Dragons take down the Potsdam Bears 73-34 and improve to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in the SUNYAC in their first game of conference play. Junior
Cara Adams (Attleboro, MA/Bishop Feehan) had a game 15 points for the Red Dragons as she went 5-7 from behind the three point arc. As a team the Red Dragons shot 50% (11/22) from behind the three point arc and 41.1% (23/56) from the field.
The Red Dragons had two other players reach double digits in points, senior
Lyteshia Price (Liverpool/Liverpool) with 13 and freshman
Teresa Anken (Rome/Rome Free Academy) with 12. Anken went 3-3 from behind the three point arc and had four assists in her first conference game of her career.
The Red Dragons kept up the pressure and forced 24 turnovers from the Bears including 13 steals. With this pressure, the Red Dragons were able to score 24 points off the turnovers.
Senior
Bryn Loomis (Norwich/Norwich) had nine points and five boards coming off of the bench for the Red Dragons. The Red Dragon bench played a key role in the victory over the Bears scoring 24 points.
The Red Dragons look to keep the momentum rolling as they take on Plattsburgh tomorrow at 2:00pm at the Dewar Arena.
