Oneonta, NY (Hartwick College) - The SUNY Oneonta Red Dragon's Woman's Swimming and Diving  traveled the short distance to Hartwick College to compete in the annual city rivalry swim meet. The Hartwick Hawks handed the Red Dragon women a 166-127 defeat.

The day started off well for the Red Dragons as senior
Emily Caboot (Rochester/Gates-Chili), junior
Nicole DiFilippo (Danville,PA/Danville ), freshman
Julia Llewellyn (East Islip/East Islip High School) and junior
Sarah Greco (Merrick/Sanford H. Calhoun) triumphing in the 200 yard medley  with a winning time of 1:55.50 less than a second ahead of their Hartwick Challengers. Llewellyn had a successful day as she was also a winner in the 100 and 200 yard butterfly.  Difilippo was also victorious in the 100 yard breast stroke with a very impressive time of 1.11.32 which was 1.60 seconds ahead of the second place finisher from Hartwick.

In the 100 yard backstroke senior
Taylor Waldrop (Fairport/Fairport) turned in a winning performance with a time of 1:02.66 edging out the runner up from Hartwick by more than one second. Waldrop had another win in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:13.13.

In the 50 yard freestyle junior
Sarah Greco (Merrick/Sanford H. Calhoun) found the winner's circle with a time of 25.76 just .05 seconds ahead of the Hartwick challenger.Â

In diving freshman
Cassandra Canino (Vestal/Vestal) came in first with a score of 157.25 in the one meter dive.Â

The Women's Swimming and Diving Team will be back in action on Friday, November 20th competing at the Franklin and Marshall Invitational in Lancaster, PA starting at 4 PM.
