Junior Lyteshia Price (Liverpool/Liverpool) scored a team high 18 points in leading the SUNY Oneonta women's basketball team to a 66-53 victory at Fredonia today.  The win for Oneonta (10-5, 5-3 SUNYAC) made it a weekend sweep for the Red Dragons.  The loss for Fredonia (6-10, 3-7 SUNYAC) was its second straight of the weekend.
 
The Red Dragons put the game away early in the second half, as they scored the final eight points of the first half and the first four points of the second to build its lead to 41-25.  Oneonta's lead never fell below 10 points the rest of the game.
 
The two teams battled close through the first 10 minutes before nine unanswered points by Oneonta padded its 16-15 lead to 25-15 with just under eight minutes to go in the opening twenty minutes.
 
In addition to Price junior Caysea Cohen (Stony Brook/Ward Melville) was in double figures with 16.  Sophomore Cara Adams (Attleboro, MA/Bishop Feehan) came off the bench to collect eight points.
 
Oneonta will face its rival SUNY Cortland this Friday night for the "Battle of the Red Dragons" event on campus.  Fans of Oneonta are asked to wear white in support of a "Whiteout" event.  Opening tip-off is scheduled for 7:30pm.
