The SUNY Oneonta women's soccer team kicked off the Division III Women's Mayor's Cup Saturday afternoon when they fell to #10The College of New Jersey 2-0at Elmore Field on the campus of Hartwick.

The Red and White came out firing, registering the games first shot just over a minute into the contest. TCNJ responded in the third minute tallying the game's first goal. Kayla Distin looked for retaliation just 20 seconds later with a header off the crossbar. The 1-0 score would remain through halftime.

Dragon keeper Rory Stark made five saves in the first stanza, while the offense fire a quartet of shots on target.

Neither squad could gain an upper hand in the second half. The teams exchanged shots in the early portion of the frame, but the Dragons couldn't solve the Lion keeper. TCNJ added a goal in the 88
th minute to provide the 2-0 final.

Stark made seven saves in the contest, while Distin lead the way a pair of shot attempts.

The Red and White return to action tomorrow in the final round of the Mayor's Cup when the take on UMass-Dartmouth at Red Dragon Soccer Field. Kickoff is set for noon.
