The SUNY Oneonta women's tennis team split a pair of weekend matches to put its record for the year at 9-10 overall.  The Red Dragons defeated Hunter College yesterday at the US Tennis Center, 8-1, before falling at home today to Wheaton College 9-0.
 
Winners for Oneonta against Hunter included seniors, Lauren Skolnick (Sayville/Sayville) and Jenna Conklin (Wilton/Saratoga Springs) along with sophomore Michelle Spencer (Homer/Homer) and freshmen Christine Santarsiero (Rye Brook/Blind Brook) and Kayla Houle (Apalachin/Owego Free Academy) in singles.
 
Maggiore and Skolnick won at first doubles, senior Abigail Smith (Seneca Falls/Mynderse Academy) and freshman Olivia Stauffer (Huntington/Harborfields) won at second doubles and Spencer and Santarsiero won at third doubles.
 
Oneonta closed out its home schedule for the year, as they play its final two matches on the road at Union on Thursday and Hamilton on Wednesday, Apr. 23.
