SUNY Oneonta sophomore Zach Mager (New City/Clarkstown South) scored a collegiate career high 40 points today, but his Red Dragons fell to Brockport 83-70 at home.  Mager became only the fourth player ever to reach 40 points in a single game for the men and the first since Daryl Parsons poured in that many versus Juniata on Nov. 21, 1997.  Mager's performance included 12-of-17 from the field and 12-of-14 from the line.  He also had a team high nine rebounds.

Brockport (3-4/1-2 SUNYAC) had four players in double digits today led by junior John Ivy, who scored 17 points.  Lance Legister was next with 16 points while Bobby Bell and Derek Klein added 13 and 12 points respectively.

The story of today's game was in that the Golden Eagles' bench outscored Oneonta's 37-6 and Brockport converted 16 Oneonta (1-7/0-4 SUNYAC) turnovers into 32 points.

The Golden Eagles led by as many as 18 points on four different occasions.  Brockport held an 11-point lead at halftime 44-33.  Oneonta shot 52 percent in the first half while Brockport shot 46 percent.

Next up for the Red Dragons is a trip to Hawaii to participate in the Hoop-n-Surf classic.  Oneonta will play St. Edwards University of Texas and Ottawa University of Kansas.
