Junior Alex Shkreli (Bedford/Fox Lane) (Bedford/Fox Lane) had a goal and an assist today in leading the Oneonta State men's soccer team to a 3-0 blanking of Ithaca College. Shkreli set up the first goal and then scored the second goal for Oneonta as the Red Dragons even its early season record at 2-2. With the loss the Bombers fall to 0-3.

Neither squad mustered much of a sustained attack in the game. The Red Dragons finished the game with a 12-6 advantage in shots putting three to the back of the goal.

Shkreli set up the game's first goal on a great crossing pass from the left flank that junior Dan Scott (Hyde Park/FD Roosevelt) (Salt Point/FD Roosevelt) volleyed by the keeper inside the left post.

Oneonta's final two goals came in the second half including Shkreli's in the 65th minute off an assist from senior Raymond Fitzpatrick (Garden City/Garden City) (Garden City/Garden City).

Oneonta's final goal came off a corner kick when freshman Justin Rivera (Bay Shore/Bay Shore) (Bay Shore/Bay Shore) sent a ball in from the right flag that found the head of junior Eric Fortier (Pleasant Valley/Arlington) (Pleasant Valley/Arlington) for a bang-bang goal with under two minutes to go in the contest.

Both goalkeepers made two stops in the contest. Junior Max Siegelman (Roslyn/Roslyn) went the distance for Oneonta as did freshman Jordan Gentile for Ithaca.

Oneonta will be in action again this coming Tuesday evening as they travel to Troy, N.Y. to face Rensselaer for a non conference match beginning at 7:00 p.m.
