Oneonta, NY – SUNY Oneonta dominated the first half of play out shooting Brockport 10-1. The second half was much of the same outshooting the Golden Eagles 9-4, but Brockport only needed one opportunity to put the ball in the back of the neck defeating the Red Dragons 1-0 in conference action.

In the 60th minute of play Brockport was awarded a corner kick and were able to out number Oneonta in the box. In the 61st minute of play, Abby Smith scored off the corner kick from Sarah Lawson to score for the Golden Eagles, which would be enough for the win.

Teammates Nha Wright (Schenectady) and Kayla Brantmeyer (Center Moriches) kept the red dragons in the game each scoring at least five shots in the game and keeper Amy Lusby (West Babylon/N. Babylon) (West Babylon) had two saves in the game.


Oneonta will be home on Friday, October 8th to take on conference rivals SUNY Plattsburgh at 4:00 p.m.
