SUNY Oneonta freshman
Gabi Regan (Troy/Columbia) came off the bench to score 15 points to leading five players e figures as the Red Dragons cruised past Fredonia 68-46. The win for Oneonta was its fourth straight and, more importantly, makes them the only undefeated team left in the SUNYAC. The Red Dragons are now at the top of the conference at 6-0.
Oneonta took control of the game midway through the first half and never looked back. The Red Dragons got off to a rough start shooting, but finished the contest shooting 45 percent from the floor. Oneonta was a consistent 13-of-29 in both halves.

Samantha Szkotak (New York Mills/New York Mills) and freshman
Kate Wilverding (Manalapan, NJ/St. John Vianney) all had 11 points in the game while sophomore
Madison Slagle (Rome/Rome Catholic) rounded out the players in double figures with 10 points.
Oneonta forced 21 turnovers and had 13 steals led by Bucci's three thefts on the evening. The 21 turnovers led to 22 points in the contest for the Red Dragons.
Senior Katie Landy (Jamestown/Southwestern) was the only Blue Devil to reach double figures as she scored 11 points.
Neither squad started the contest shooting very well from the field, as the score was only 6-6 at the 12:36 mark. A basket by freshman
Sarah Waltersdorf (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) seemed to ignite the Red Dragons as they began to assert themselves scoring seven unanswered to build a nine point lead with just under nine minutes to go in the opening half.
Oneonta continued its hot shooting over the final nine minutes and went into the break with a 35-21 lead. The Red Dragons were led by its bench in the opening 20 minutes as the reserves outscored Fredonia's bench 18-3 led by Regan's nine first half points in 11 minutes of action.
The Red Dragons host Buffalo State tomorrow afternoon for another SUNYAC contest beginning at 2:00 p.m.
