Hernandez was selected as the Most Valuable Player of this year’s SUNYAC Tournament after helping to lead the men’s soccer team to its sixth tournament title and third in the last four years.

Last week, Hernandez collected three goals including the game-winner against SUNY Geneseo in the semifinals of the tournament.  In the championship game, he scored the first goal for the Red Dragons in a 2-1 win against Plattsburgh.

Hernandez has scored five goals in the last three games for Oneonta, who are currently 15-1-2 and preparing for its seventh straight NCAA appearance.
