Timmons helped the women’s track & field team finish fourth with 132 points at the Springfield College Invitational this past weekend.

Timmons not only won the weight throw but she shattered her own school record in the event by nearly two meters which moved her from 7th to 1st in the Div. III standings. She won the event with a toss of 18.40 meters (60’-4.50”).

Timmons also set a new SUNYAC record in the 20-lb. weight throw, overtaking Julia Hopson from Fredonia, who was a National Champion in 2009 when she threw for a distance of 18.25 meters to set the record.

Timmons was also third in the shot put with a distance of 11.38 meters (37’-4”).
