SUNY Oneonta Athletics

Don LaSala joined SUNY Oneonta in June 2025 as the Assistant Athletic Director of Home Event Operations and Community/Campus Engagement. In this role, he oversees all aspects of game day operations and partners with coaches and sports information staff.  He also manages athletic facility scheduling for campus teams, departments, and community partners, and plays a key role in maintaining facilities and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Don supports major campus events and leads efforts to enhance the fan experience through strategic marketing and engagement initiatives.  Don is committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for athletes, fans, and officials.

Prior to joining SUNY Oneonta, Don spent over a decade at Hartwick College, where he served as Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Facilities and Internal Operations and Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach. His responsibilities there included managing athletic facilities, coordinating external events such as Nike US Sports Camps and the Harlem Globetrotters, and overseeing game day operations and staffing.

With a career spanning roles at Adrian College, Clarkson University, Washington & Jefferson College, SUNY Canton, and SUNY Brockport, Don brings a broad and deep background in athletics administration, coaching, compliance, and student-athlete development. He is also was a certified strength and conditioning coach.

Don holds an associate degree from SUNY Canton, a bachelor’s in Business Administration from SUNY Brockport, and a master’s in Educational Leadership from St. Lawrence University.
