Dave Forbes enters his sixth year of working with the SUNY Oneonta men’s and women’s pole vaulters. Since his arrival, Forbes has developed athletes who have set all of the men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor pole vault school records.
Forbes began coaching at Oneonta high school, where he continues to coach the pole vaulters and throwers. During his tenure he has developed countless New York State championship qualifiers and Section IV champions.
Forbes resides in Oneonta with his wife, and enjoys spending time with his grandchildren in his free time. He also continues to compete in half marathons and can often be found logging miles on Oneonta’s indoor track.
