Kaufman begins his 18th season with the SUNY Oneonta women's basketball program in 2014-15.
A graduate of the University of Maryland, Kaufman has over 35 years of experience coaching football, basketball, lacrosse and track at the high school level before joining the coaching staff at SUNY Oneonta in 1997-1998. Compiling all of his years as a coach, he has amassed over 50 years of coaching during his career.
During his tenure with the Red Dragons, the program has won three SUNYAC titles while making the same number of appearances in the NCAA tournament.
After graduating from the University of Maryland Kaufman went on to earn his master's degree in Health Education from Brooklyn College.
Kaufman lives in Norwich with his wife Helen. They have three children and six grandchildren. Kaufman continues to enjoy teaching swimming and sailing during the summer months at Racket Lake.
