Dr. Katie Christison

Katie Christison, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Sport and Exercise Science department at SUNY Oneonta. She enjoys teaching classes related to exercise physiology and the practical application of exercise prescription. Katie's research interests focus on female health and safety during exercise, specifically how changes in female sex hormones can influence exercise physiology across the lifetime. When not in the classroom, Katie enjoys teaching adaptive yoga in partnership with EDD adaptive sports and advocating for outdoor recreation in the Oneonta community.

Katie has strong ties to softball, having played and coached high school and collegiate softball.  Katie is thrilled to serve as the softball team's faculty mentor and looks forward to supporting these student-athletes throughout their degree program.
