Finch begins her ninth season with the SUNY Oneonta softball program in 2021 as the pitching coach. She brings a wealth of knowledge as well as an accomplished resume as a collegiate player at SUNY Cortland from 2006-10.
Finch is a Physical Education teacher in the Oneonta City School District. Along with teaching, she also coaches junior varsity softball. Previously, Finch coached junior varsity volleyball and modified girls’ soccer.
As a member of the Cortland softball team, Finch received numerous accolades within the conference as well as regionally and nationally for her pitching prowess. She was a three-time NFCA All-American and four-time NFCA All-Region selection. She was the SUNYAC Pitcher of the Year three times and was the ECAC Division III Upstate New York Pitcher of the Year twice during her career.
Finch twice earned ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District honors and was the Co-Female Senior Athlete of the Year at Cortland.
Finch received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education in 2010 and was a Cum Laude graduate. In the summer of 2013, she earned a Master of Science degree from Cortland in Physical Education with a concentration on Coaching Pedagogy.
