Anger will begin his second season with the track & field program in 2015-16.  His primary event group is the throwers.  Anger comes to Oneonta after having served as an assistant cross country and track & field coach at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH.
 
During his first year with the program, Anger was instrumental in the development of Pat Weinert, who went on to capture the NCAA national title in the men’s hammer throw with a throw of 64.69m/211’7”.  Overall, Anger coached five NCAA qualifiers, three All-Americans, three SUNYAC champions while breaking three school records.
Anger was a member of the University of Albany track & field team for four years and competed at the NCAA Division I level.  He served as the team captain during the 2009-10 year and helped lead the Greyhounds to four consecutive America East Conference titles.
 
Anger is a USATF Level 1 coach and has his USAW Level 1 Sport Performance certification.  He has also served as a strength & condition coach for a member of the US Bobsled Development Team while working as a coach for a USATF post-collegiate hammer thrower.
 
Anger graduated in 2010 from Albany where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Biology and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology. In 2015, he completed a master’s of science from the California University of Pennsylvania, majoring in exercise science with a focus in sports performance and injury prevention.
