Mannion enters his 4th season with the swimming & diving program at SUNY Oneonta with his primary responsibility as diving coach. Mannion brings years of experience as a Division I diver and coach at various levels.
Mannion’s last involvement as a coach was in 2003 in Maplewood, NJ as a volunteer coach at one of the only public pools in the country to have a 10-meter diving platform. During his four years there, he worked with children and adults on basic diving techniques while hosting annual competitions.
Mannion is currently employed full time with Corevist, Inc., which is a software company based in Raleigh, NC. As a technical architect, he works from home helping multi-national corporations implement and optimize eCommerce websites.
Prior to Corevist, Mannion was the Founder, Owner and Master Instructor of Oneonta Taekwon-Do, which he did from 2004-2017.
After competing as a diver at Suffern High School, Mannion continued his passion for the sport as a walk-on at Villanova University. Mannion earned a scholarship as a sophomore and competed a full four years for the Wildcats.
In the spring of 2019, Mannion trained for, and competed in the National Masters Diving Championships and winning the 3-meter event and placing second on the 1-meter board.
