Duffy will enter his second season as an assistant coach for the Red Dragons in 2014. Duffy came to Oneonta after a four-year playing career at American International College in Springfield, Mass., where he was the team captain as a senior. Duffy received the Henry A. Butova Memorial Award that is presented to a baseball player for their outstanding contributions to AIC baseball both on and off the field and whose commitment, loyalty and leadership represents the highest principles of intercollegiate athletics.
While playing at AIC, Duffy spent three summers (2009-11) playing for the Sherrill Silversmiths. In 2009, he was an ECBL All-Star. In 2012, he was the pitching coach for the Silversmiths before taking over as the head coach for the 2013 season.
Duffy also served as an assistant coach for the Rhode Island Rebels baseball program during 2010-2011.
A native of Warwick, RI, Duffy graduated from Trinity Christian Academy in Lake Worth, Fla. in 2007.
Duffy currently resides in Oneonta where he is an accounting clerk for Eastman Associates located in Oneonta.
