Beatty enters his sixth season with the Red Dragons as a volunteer assistant coach. His primary duties with the team are as a Hitting Coach, Infield Coach, and Third base Coach on game days.

Prior to joining the Red Dragons in 2017, Beatty played Division II baseball in the PacWest Conference for California State University at Stanislaus from 2010-14. At the end of his playing career, Beatty stands at No. 3 all-time on the hits list with 174 while finishing with a career batting average of .304 in 148 career starts.

As a senior in 2014, Beatty was named third team All-Region and second team All-CCAA batting .335 with 60 hits, eight doubles and 20 RBIs. He also led the team with 16 walks. In his sophomore season he was an All-CCAA Honorable Mention selection batting .311 and driving in 26 runs. Â

The native of Atwater, CA resides in Cooperstown, NY and currently works at the Cooperstown Dreams Park as an Irrigational Specialist.
