Junior Zach Mager (New City/Clarkstown South) buried a three-pointer while also shutting the door on Oswego, as the SUNY Oneonta men's basketball team defeated the Lakers 75-69 in overtime last Tuesday evening in SUNYAC action.  Mager paced Oneonta with 22 points in the contest including nine points in overtime.

The two teams went through regulation knotted at 63 apiece after Mager sank 1-of-2 free throws with 36 seconds remaining in regulation.  Neither team could convert on its final chances, which forced the extra period.

Down the stretch in regulation, Oneonta held a 60-56 advantage before the Lakers fought its way back to tie the score at 62 apiece on a basket with 1:31 to go.
