SUNY Oneonta Athletics

Red Dragon Baseball Field was first constructed in 1967 with the first spring season played on the field in 1968.  Over the decades, the facility had seen many upgrades and enhancements including a press box, locker rooms, concession stand and bathrooms.  In 2019, the facility received a multi-million dollar renovation that put a field turf surface in place.  As part of the upgrade, new fencing was installed and a state-of-the-art scoreboard installed that was dedicated and named in honor of Hall of Fame baseball coach Don Axtell.
