Louer was a four-year starting goalie for the lacrosse team from 2001-04 and left his mark on the men's program. During his career, he was a four-time All-SUNYAC selection and a two-time USILA All-American. The Red Dragons qualified for three ECAC tournaments and put together a 40-27 record overall including 19-8 in the SUNYAC. Louer holds the distinction of being the only goalie to score a goal which he did on Apr. 19
th versus Potsdam, a game that Oneonta ended up winning 10-9 in triple overtime.
At the time of his induction in 2025, Louer is in the top five in multiple season marks including wins (T 1
st), saves (2
nd), goals against (2
nd), and save percentage (5
th). Louer started all 67 games he played in during his four seasons, topping the career minutes played list (3,777) and saves list (939), is tied at the top with 40 wins, is second in goals against (9.21) and third with a .622 save percentage.
Postgraduation, Louer pursued and earned a master's degree in advanced coaching from Springfield College in 2009. While at Springfield, he was a graduate assistant coach with the men's lacrosse team serving as the defensive coordinator.
Louer is currently the owner of MTL Remodeling in Hendersonville, NC.
Louer, along with seven other individuals, will be inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday, June 7 at 11am in the Morris Conference Center.
