PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -- The SUNY Oneonta women's basketball team led the whole game in their regular season finale for a 61-51 victory over Plattsburgh State, Saturday afternoon. Senior
Olivia Dobrovosky (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) finished with 15 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals, while junior
Jenna Harclerode (Sayville/Sayville) had 13 points, seven boards and two assists. The Red Dragons closed out the regular season 18-7 overall and 13-5 in the SUNYAC, while the Cardinals finished 8-17 on the season and 4-14 in the conference. Following their win, Geneseo's loss to Cortland, and a tie-breaking coin flip, Oneonta clinched themselves the three seed in the tournament.
The Red Dragons got out to a 10-1 start through the first five minutes with six points coming from Harclerode and four from Dobrovosky. A couple three-pointers brought Plattsburgh State back to within three at 3:02, but layups from Dobrovosky and sophomore
Amanda Zuntag (Staten Island/Notre Dame Academy) put the Red Dragons up 14-8 after one. Â

Emma Schwarzbeck (Wallkill, NY/Wallkill Senior High School) knocked down a three to extend the lead to 10 with 8:43 to play in the half. The Cardinals closed the gap to within two with 52 seconds left in the period, but sophomore
Nadia Brown (Troy/Troy) converted an and-one then a made a midrange jumper to close out the half with the Red Dragons ahead, 28-21. Â
A couple putbacks from Dobrovosky and Harclerode, and a jump shot from graduate student
Clara Culeton (Oswego/Oswego) from the elbow gave the Red Dragons a 34-21 lead at 7:05. Zuntag, Culeton, and junior
Molly Stephens (LaGrange/Arlington) found the net throughout the third to maintain the team's double-digit lead. Harclerode drilled a triple to make it 46-31, however a jump shot from Payton Couture in the closing seconds brought the Cardinals back to within 13 heading into the fourth. Â
Dobrovosky and Schwarzbeck both converted three-point plays before Harclerode hit a pair at the line to give the Red Dragons their largest lead of the game, 54-34, with 7:21 to play. Plattsburgh State put together a late run, but could not cut the deficit to single digits as Oneonta gained insurance points with a basket from Culeton and a three-pointer from junior

Culeton and Schwarzbeck each finished with seven points, Culeton also recorded 13 rebounds while Schwarzbeck tallied three assists. Â
Imani Walcott led the Cardinals with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Â
Oneonta shot 35.4 percent from the field and grabbed 55 rebounds, while Plattsburgh State shot 25 percent from the floor and totaled 45 rebounds. Â
As the three seed in the SUNYAC tournamnet, the Red Dragons will host SUNY Potsdam on Tuesday at 5:30 pm. The winner will head to top-seeded New Paltz and will face Cortland in the semifinals.
