COBLESKILL, N.Y. -- The SUNY Oneonta women's basketball team could not erase their first half deficit at Cobleskill and fell to the Fighting Tigers, 84-51, in non-conference play Wednesday evening. Senior

Nadia Brown (Troy, NY/Troy) created enough room off her defender for an underhand layup and Schwarzbeck drilled a catch-and-shoot three from the wing at 6:53 to knot the game at nine. Following Schwarzbeck's triple, the Fighting Tigers closed out the quarter with a 14-3 run to go up 23-12. During the stretch, junior
Molly Coyne (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) hit a jumper from the corner and junior
Amanda Zuntag (Staten Island, NY/Notre Dame Academy) split a pair at the line to end the period.
Cobleskill's run continued in the second and their lead was extended to 23 with 5:56 to go in the half. After junior
Sophia Wakin (Delhi, NY/Delaware Academy) converted one at the line, she passed it to senior
Molly Stephens (LaGrange, NY/Arlington) for a layup at 4:33 that made it 36-16. In the closing minutes of the quarter, freshman
Maddie Hoy (Canton, NY/Canton Central) scored a deep two from the wing, and junior
Alana Batson (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) hit a jumper in the corner off an inbound pass from freshman
Megan Desrats (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) then closed out the half with a layup for the Red Dragons to trail 44-22.
