ONEONTA, N.Y. -Â The Oneonta men's swimming & diving team made the short trip to Hartwick for dual meet action against the Hawks on Saturday, falling 183-101. The Red Dragons had five individuals place first.Â
The day opened with the 400-medley relay with Oneonta's group of seniors Daniel Oh (Huntington, NY/Harborfields), Eli Cohen (Schoharie, NY/East Lake (Fla)), and juniors James Llewellyn (Great River, NY/East Islip) and Jonathan Stanizone taking second at 3:43.50.Â
Junior Mason DeLisio (Kingston, NY/Kingston) followed with a first-place performance in the 200 freestyle after recording a time of 1:46.63. Llewellyn went on to take first in the 100-backstroke at 55.93. Freshman Ethan Cairo () was third in the 100-breaststroke and swam a 1:05.08. Freshman Andrew Capella (Glenville, NY/Burnt-Hills-Ballston Lake) went on to finish third in the 200-butterfly with a time of 2:12.20.Â
DeLisio tallied his second first-place of the meet in the 50-freestyle and touched at 21.86. He then went first in the 100-freestyle with a time of 48.41.Â
Llewellyn earned another first-place finish in the 200-backstroke after swimming a 2:05.63. Capella was second in the 500-freestyle at 5:10.13.
Oneonta wrapped up the day with a first-place finish in the 200-freestyle relay. DeLisio, Oh, Llewellyn, and Cohen posted a time of 1:28.60
Oneonta next competes at the North Country Invitational on Nov. 17 at 4 p.m. in Potsdam, NY.Â
