ONEONTA, N.Y. -- A 24-7 third quarter gave the SUNY Oneonta women's basketball team a commanding lead against Fredonia State that turned into a 62-41 conference victory, Friday evening. Junior 
Molly Stephens (LaGrange/Arlington) had the game-high 10 points as the Red Dragons had 13 different players score and improved to 13-5 on the season with an 8-3 SUNYAC record. The Blue Devils are now 4-13 overall and 1-10 in conference play.  
Fredonia jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first two minutes of the contest, however Oneonta turned it around and scored the next 10. Senior 
Olivia Dobrovosky (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) found graduate student 
Clara Culeton (Oswego/Oswego) for a driving layup then drove into the paint herself to lay it in. Junior 
Jenna Harclerode (Sayville/Sayville) and sophomore 
Sophia Wakin (Delhi/Delaware Academy) each made a basket in the paint before sophomore 
Amanda Zuntag (Staten Island/Notre Dame Academy) capped the run off with across paint finish at 1:50. Caitlin Snyder broke a six-minute scoreless slump for the Blue Devils with a 1:27 in the first, and Stephens ended the quarter with a triple from the wing for a 13-7 Red Dragon lead.
Senior 
Meg Nardelli (Wappingers Falls/Roy C. Ketcham) opened the second with a three-pointer and later Harclerode stole the ball and hit a jumper to give Oneonta an 18-7 advantage at 7:20 in the period. Fredonia would go on a 12-2 run with multiple scorers to bring themselves within one with 2:26 left in the half. Oneonta got their lead back up to nine with a pair of free throws from Dobrovosky and a couple of three-pointers from Stephens and sophomore 
Kennady Amo (Cape Vincent/Thousand Islands). Renee Park split a pair at the line to trim the Red Dragons lead to 28-20 heading into the second half.

Nadia Brown (Troy/Troy) started the run with a couple layups, Waykin led the team with six points in the quarter, Dobrovosky and Harclerode each added four, and graduate student 
Megan Palmatier (Bainbridge/Bainbridge-Guilford) capped it off with a jumper from the corner to give the Red Dragons a 52-27 lead.  
In the final 10 minutes, Fredonia only got to within 18 points. During the fourth, sophomore 
Molly Coyne (Syracuse/West Genesee) hit two free throws, junior 
Caitlin Mullin (Rockaway Beach/Xaverian) knocked down a triple at the top of the arc, and freshman 
Lidia Boucher (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem Central High School) recorded five points, including the last basket for the 62-41 final.  
Dobrovosky, Harclerode, and Waykin all finished with eight points; Dobrovosky also had five rebounds and assists while Waykin had four boards. Zuntag ended with four points as she led the game with seven rebounds and four steals.  
Park led the Blue Devils with nine points and five rebounds.  
Oneonta shot 34.8 percent from the field and brought in 44 rebounds while Fredonia shot 29.4 percent and grabbed only 35 boards.  
The Red Dragons are back in action Saturday at 2 pm against Buffalo State in Dewar Arena.Â
