GENESEO, N.Y. -- The SUNY Oneonta women's basketball team outscored Geneseo by 20 points after the first quarter and went on to defeat the Knights 63-52, Friday evening. Freshman
Emma Schwarzbeck (Wallkill, NY/Wallkill Senior High School) posted a career-high 13 points as the Red Dragons (10-4, 5-2 SUNYAC) held the Knights (9-4, 4-2 SUNYAC) to a season-low 33.9 percent from the field.

Schwarzbeck and Zuntag kept the momentum going in Oneonta's favor with an 11-1 stretch to start the third. Schwarzbeck hit three three-pointers and made it 34-24 with 4:47 left in the quarter. The Red Dragons closed out the quarter with a jumper by sophomore

Kennady Amo (Cape Vincent/Thousand Islands) as they went into the final quarter up 41-34.
Oneonta gave themselves a 16-point cushion after a 12-3 run to start the fourth. Dobrovosky scored eight of the points while Nardelli and Zuntag each had a basket during the stretch. Junior
Jenna Harclerode (Sayville/Sayville) nailed a triple with a couple minutes remaining and the Red Dragons closed out the game with a few trips to the line.
Dobrovosky led Oneonta with 14 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Stephens finished with nine points and Harclerode totaled nine rebounds.
Stockman had 15 points and four rebounds for Geneseo and Lauren Romito finished with 11 points and six rebounds.
The Red Dragons shot 40.4 percent from the field, including 40.0 percent from beyond the arc, while the Knights had a slight rebounding edge, 39-38.
Oneonta is back in action tomorrow for a SUNYAC game on the road against Brockport at 2 pm.
