The National Fastpitch Coaches Association is proud to honor those student athletes who have excelled in the classroom by recognizing them as 2020-21 All-American Scholar Athletes.
Earning recognition for SUNY Oneonta are 2021 graduates
Kristen Collins (Hicksville/Holy Trinity) and
Kaitlyn Loffman (Smithtown/Smithtown West) along with seniors
Caroline Koch (New City/Clarkstown South),
Meaghan Raleigh (Endwell/Maine Endwell),
Megan Palmatier (Bainbridge/Bainbridge-Guilford) and
Kathryn Davies (Tinton Falls, NJ/Monmouth Regional), juniors
Marissa Nagel (Averill Park/Averill Park),
Anna Ciccarelli (Guilderland/Guilderland) and
Juliana D'Alessandro (Nanuet/Nanuet) and sophomores
Sara Cartier (Cicero/Cicero-North Syracuse),
Marissa Dionisio (Sayville/Sayville) and
Lauren Weber (Sayville/Sayville).
Collins and Koch are being recognized for a third time while Palmatier and Loffman are being honored for a second time. Both Collins and Koch were selected this past spring as SUNYAC All-Conference players. Collins led the team in hitting with her .356 average while also stealing a team best 10 bases. Koch hit .314 and led the team with 14 runs scored.
Raleigh hit .352 and led the team in hits (19), doubles (8) and slugging (.593). Palmatier hit .302 in 15 starts. Davies appeared in eight games in the circle with three starts pitching 21.2 innings. She went 1-0 with a team best 1.62 ERA while striking out 11 batters. Ciccarelli appeared in 11 games and hit an even .300 while Nagel started nine of 10 games and D'Alessandro started six games. Weber and Dionisio fared well in their rookie seasons combining for a 7-4 record overall. Weber struck out a team best 18 batters while Dionisio led the staff with four victories. Cartier saw action as a pinch runner in two games last spring.
Oneonta finished the 2021 season with an overall record of 9-7 while qualifying for the SUNYAC tournament.
