The Inside Story
In game one, Brockport pound out 21 hits as they led the entire game. The Golden Eagles got on the board with two runs in the bottom of the first. Ryan Voight plated the first run of the game with a sacrifice fly before Nicholas Pastore singled in another to make it 2-0. Brockport added to their lead with two more runs in the bottom of the third. With two out in the inning and a pair of runners in scoring position, Skyler Ohrvall delivered a two-run single, upping the Brockport lead to 4-0. The Golden Eagles put the game out of reach when they scored seven runs on eight hits in the fourth inning. The Red Dragons avoided the shutout when they scored two runs in the top of the ninth. With
James Ceparano (Melville/Half Hollow Hills East) on second base, freshman
Bradley Turner (Stone Ridge/Rondout Valley) drove in his first collegiate run with a single to right center. After Turner made his way over to third on a pair of wild pitches, freshman
Thomas Skoczek (Brooklyn/Xavier) also earned his first collegiate RBI with a ground out.

In the nightcap, Brockport took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second on a Nick Debrino RBI double. The Red Dragons tied the game in the top of the third when
Jake Barrett (Smithtown/St. Anthony's) doubled to center, scoring
Sean McGlynn (New Hartford/New Hartford). In the top of the fifth, Oneonta would take their first lead of the day. After
Sean McGlynn (New Hartford/New Hartford) earned a walk to start the inning,
James Ceparano (Melville/Half Hollow Hills East) bunted him into scoring position.
Jake Barrett (Smithtown/St. Anthony's) pushed McGlynn over to third with a ground out to short. Brockport pitcher Trevor McCarthy then uncorked a wild pitch, allowing McGlynn to score from third. Oneonta's excitement was short lived as Brockport scored four times in the bottom of the fifth to take a 5-2 lead. The Red Dragons would get one more run in the top of the sixth on a
Cole Rockwell (Liverpool/Cicero-North Syracuse) RBI ground out.

Liam Kaseta (Somers/Somers) led Oneonta with a 3-for-3 performance with a run scored, while
