Oswego, NY - The men's swimming & diving team traveled to Oswego today and came up short 126-115. The meet was the opening dual meet of the season for the Red Dragons.
There was some notable highlights beginning in the 1000-yard freestyle as senior
Sean Geddes (Farmingdale/Farmingdale) paced the field just under two seconds ahead of the Oswego swimmer checking in with a time of 11:15.72. Â Geddes also recorded a win in the 500-yard freestyle touching the wall with a time of 5:28.28 more than 15 seconds ahead of the chaser from Oswego. Â Freshman James Llewelyn finished first in the 200-yard freestyle securing a time of 1:55.46 over three seconds ahead of the Oswego runner-up. Â Llewelyn also secured a win in the 100-yard backstroke touching the wall at 57.25 less than two-seconds ahead of his Oswego foe. Â SophomoreÂ
Kyle Copper (Canandaigua/Marcus Whitman) took the top spot in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55:30 with his teammate sophomore
Daniel Oh (Huntington/Harborfields) taking the runner up position a little more than three-seconds behind. Â
The final win on the day came in the 200-yard freestyle relay, as seniors
William Coddington (Highland Mills/Monroe-Woodbury) and
Sean Maurer (Massapequa Park/Massapequa), Oh, and freshman Mason Delisio took the honors with a time 1:30.89 just under five-seconds ahead of Oswego.Â
Next up for the men is SUNY Brockport next Saturday, October 30th beginning at 1:00 PM on the road.
