A Quick Look
The SUNY Oneonta baseball team opened newly renovated Red Dragon Baseball Field with a 9-0 victory over SUNY Cobleskill Wednesday afternoon. The win lifts the Red Dragons record to 1-2 on the season.

Senior hurler
David Deberardinis (Fishkill/John Jay) allowed just one hit over six innings of work while striking out four Tigers to earn the win.
The Red Dragons jumped on the board in the bottom of the first when
Dominic Lamonica (Stony Brook/Ward Melville) scored from third on a wild pitch. Oneonta broke the game open with four runs in the bottom of the fourth.
James Zupo (Massapequa/Massapequa) got the inning started with a leadoff triple into the right centerfield gap.
Matthew McAllister (Vestal/Vestal) plated Zupo with a ground out to short, upping the Oneonta lead to 2-0. After
Jake Barrett (Smithtown/St. Anthony's) made his way to third with a single, a wild pitch and a pass ball, a
Patrick McGee (Mahopac/Mahopac) fly out to center gave the Red Dragons a 3-0 advantage. The Red Dragons capped off the inning with RBI singles from
Ryan McGrane (Plainedge/Plainedge) and
James Ceparano (Melville/Half Hollow Hills East) to make the score 5-0.
In the bottom of the sixth,
Sean McGlynn (New Hartford/New Hartford) created his own run. The junior made his way around the bases on a single, a pair of stolen bases and wild pitch, increasing the lead to 6-0. Oneonta would add a pair of insurance runs in the bottom of the seventh when they took advantage of a Cobleskill error. The Red Dragons wrapped up the scoring in the bottom of the eighth when

James Ceparano (Melville/Half Hollow Hills East) with an RBI single.
