Oneonta (11-13, 8-9 SUNYAC) trailed by a basket entering the fourth quarter before falling behind by six points at 52-46 after a pair of free throws by Dyamon Hunter. Senior
Leanne Corso (Commack/Commack) capped seven unanswered to give the Red Dragons a 53-52 lead with 6:08 left to go.

The two teams then took turns with the lead over the next five minutes until a Devyn Elliott basket gave Potsdam (9-14, 6-11 SUNYAC) the lead for good. Elliott finished the game with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Oneonta grabbed a 19-17 lead after the first the first quarter. The two teams battled closely through most of the quarter with four lead changes. With the game tied at 10 apiece, The Red Dragons scored five unanswered to take the lead with under three minutes to go. Junior

Casey Hayes (New Hyde Park/Sewanhaka) and

Potsdam scored the first four points of the second quarter before Oneonta countered with the next four including a three-pointer by Corso. With the score tied at 26 apiece with less than three minutes remaining, Potsdam scored six unanswered points to take its largest lead of the half. Hayes scored the final basket of the quarter to bring Oneonta to within four points at 32-28 entering the break.

Lauren Obermayer (East Greenbush/Columbia) tied the game at 39 apiece approaching the midway point of the third quarter. The Red Dragons held a brief lead of 46-45 after a pair of Hayes free throws before a trey by Caroline LaFountain ended the quarter for Potsdam leading 48-46.

Just the Stats
Oneonta outrebounded Potsdam 51-45 including 21 offensive rebounds. Corso recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Hayes led all scorers with 17 points to go with seven boards. The Bears had five players in double figures led by LaFountain's 16 points.

The women will end the regular season tomorrow afternoon at Plattsburgh beginning at 2pm.
