The SUNY Oneonta men's lacrosse team opened the 2019 season today with a lopsided win at Bard College 13-3. The Red Dragons dominated the game from the second quarter on enroute to the victory.

Senior
Stephen Panno (Holtsville/Sachem East) scored a career high six goals to lead the Oneonta attack. He also added one assist for a total of seven points to start the season.

Thomas Moore (Rockville Centre/South Side) recorded four points on three goals and one assist. Sophomore
Ryan MacDevitt (Sayville/Sayville) contributed a team high three assists.

After grabbing a 3-1 lead at the end of the first quarter, Oneonta posted four goals in the second and five goals in the third to put the game out of reach.

Zachary Flynn (Stony Brook/Ward Melville) recorded five saves for Oneonta.

Oneonta outshot Bard 50-13. Twenty-nine of Oneonta's shots were on cage.

The Red Dragons collected 37 ground balls while being a perfect 21-for-21 on clears. Oneonta also won 11-of-19 faceoffs. Oneonta converted three of five extra-man opportunities.

Oneonta will play its home opener on Saturday at 2pm when they host the Wentworth Institute Leopards.
