Oneonta, NY - The Red Dragon men's swimming and diving team took on their city rivals and were overpowered by Hartwick 182-111.
There were some highlights for the Red Dragon men which began in the 1000 yard freestyle when sophomore
Christopher Costanzo (Staten Island/Susan E. Wagner) took the top spot touching the wall at 10:25.76 less than a second ahead of the Hartwick second place finish in a very exciting race between the number one and two finishers.
In event 16 the one meter dive, the Red Dragon men found win, place and show as freshman
Colin Davis (Chester/Monroe-Woodbury), junior
Christopher Corsello (Monroe/Monroe Woodbury) and sophomore
Nate Sorensen (Campbell Hall/Washingtonville) earned 16 out of the 18 points contested for. Davis tallied a score of 234.65 in the event to lead the way. This was later followed up in the three-meter dive as Corsello and Davis took winner and runner-up positions with scores of 216.90 and 185.15 respectfully.Â
The Red Dragon men now get ready for the annual Franklin and Marshall invitational which takes place beginning on Friday, November 16th in Lancaster, PA on the campus of Franklin and Marshall beginning at 4 PM.
