Oneonta, NY Â (Hartwick) - The SUNY Oneonta men's swimming and diving team took a loss to its city rival 156-138 yesterday at Hartwick.
Highlights for the Red Dragon men began in the sixth event as freshman
Christopher Costanzo (Staten Island/Susan E. Wagner) got a victory in the 200 yard freestyle earning a time of 1:49.78 just over a second ahead of the Hartwick runner-up.  Costanzo came back later with another win in the 200 yard breaststroke touching the wall with a time of 2:06.65 over a second ahead of the Hartwick rival.
In the 200 yard butterfly sophomore
Jared Ciccarelli (Staten Island/Tottenville) and freshman
Anthony Porto (Hillsdale/Taconic Hills) finished 1-12 respectfully with times of 2:03.95 followed by 2:07.28.
In the 50 yard freestyle freshman Billy Coddington was impressive with a winning time of 22.44 only .05 of the Hartwick rival. Coddington was also successful in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 49.14 earning top honors.Â
In the one-meter diving competition the Red Dragons took the top two positions as sophomores
Christopher Corsello (Monroe/Monroe Woodbury) and
Jerome Wiggins (Binghamton/Binghamton) were first and second respectfully. Corsello and Wiggins also repeated their placements in the three-meter dive.
The men's swimming and diving team will next compete at the Franklin Invitational beginning on Friday, November 17th in Lancaster, PA.
