The SUNY Oneonta wrestling team competed in a pair of dual matches today at the Long Island Showcase hosted by LIU Post.  The Red Dragons won both matches to improve to 7-1-1 on the season. The Red Dragons defeated USMMA by a score of 32-11, and beat Mount Saint Vincent with a perfect score of 60-0. This was the Red Dragons first shutout since the 2008-09 season when they beat Morrisville 54-0.

On the day, the Red Dragons recorded a total of nine pins including six versus Mount Saint Vincent. Senior Dominic DeGraba (Dallas, PA/Dallas) and junior James Bethel (Saugerties/Saugerties) would defeat both of their opponents they faced. Junior Austin Sisco (Denville, NJ/Pope John Regional) would add two victories to his stat sheet both via forfeit. Nicholas Heck (West Pittston/Wyoming Area) would win his only match of the day via a pin against USMMA's Chad Puglio.

The Red Dragons are back in action at the Will Abel Invitational at Ursinus next Saturday, January 14^th.
