After scoring only eight points in the opening quarter tonight, the SUNY Oneonta women's basketball team outscored host Plattsburgh in the final three quarters to pick up a 59-53 victory in SUNYAC action. Senior
Lyteshia Price (Liverpool/Liverpool) led all scorers with 19 points, as the Red Dragons raised its overall record to 13-6 while keeping pace in the top three in the conference with its 9-3 record.

Price scored 12 of her 19 points in the second half. Classmate
Bryn Loomis (Norwich/Norwich) aided the comeback with nine points and nine boards in the second half. Freshman guard
Teresa Anken (Rome/Rome Free Academy) scored five points in the final half and finished the game with 10 points to go with six rebounds, which she collected over the final twenty minutes.

Trailing 23-22 at halftime, a three-pointer by sophomore point guard
Samantha Lisikatos (Cold Spring/Haldane) tied the game at 25 apiece after an opening basket by Plattsburgh (11-8/5-7 SUNYAC).

Oneonta pushed its lead to seven points twice in the third quarter on baskets by Loomis and Price, but the Cardinals closed the quarter with an 8-3 spurt to close the gap to 42-40 entering the fourth quarter. An old fashioned three-point play by Allie Taylor with 31 seconds to go in the third were the final points.

The game would be tied for the last time at 42-42 on the first basket of the fourth quarter by Monique Jones. A pair of free throws by freshman
Madeline Frank (Syracuse/Jamesville-Dewitt) gave Oneonta the lead back. Frank finished the game with nine points off the bench.

Plattsburgh turned the ball over 26 times tonight, which turned into 23 points for the Red Dragons. Oneonta connected on nine threes including four by Price. Price's final three-pointer was the 100
th of her career, which moved her into fifth all-time. Although outrebounded, 44-40, the Red Dragons collected 20 offensive rebounds in the contest.
