The SUNY Oneonta women's basketball team got 24 points and 10 rebounds from senior
Lyteshia Price (Liverpool/Liverpool) in defeating Brockport 65-58 on the road. The Red Dragons bounced back nicely after falling to SUNY Geneseo last night 53-39. Oneonta is now 8-4 overall and 4-1 in the SUNYAC at the midway point of the season.

Price's 10 rebounds in today's game gives her an even 600 for her career, making her the eighth player in the history of the women's program to reach the mark.

Oneonta won every quarter today and held Brockport (5-5/1-2 SUNYAC) to 32 percent shooting overall. The Red Dragons' largest lead of nine points came in the fourth quarter at the 5:52 mark when senior
Bryn Loomis (Norwich/Norwich) converted 1-of-2 free throws.

Caitlin Cariseo (Syracuse/Jamesville Dewitt) and freshman
Madeline Frank (Syracuse/Jamesville-Dewitt) powered the Oneonta bench to 24 points in the contest. Cariseo led the trio with nine points followed by Frank and Loomis with eight and seven points respectively.

After carrying a 22-21 lead into the second quarter, Brockport scored six unanswered to grab its last lead of the game. Oneonta countered with a 9-0 run to regain the lead. The run ended with a three-pointer by sophomore
Samantha Lisikatos (Cold Spring/Haldane).

The Red Dragons shot 40 percent overall including 50 percent from long range. Oneonta made six of its eight shots from behind the arc to help capture a 36-33 lead at halftime. Price and junior
Cara Adams (Attleboro, MA/Bishop Feehan) each made three from long range.

Oneonta collected 19 assists in the game led by Loomis who had five assists. Loomis also grabbed seven boards.

In last night's loss to Geneseo, Cariseo came off the bench to lead Oneonta with 11 points. Price led all rebounders with 13 to go with three blocks and two steals.

Oneonta led 10-9 at the end of the first, but Geneseo outscored the Red Dragons 17-5 in the second period to grab the advantage.

Oneonta will be on the road again this Friday night at New Paltz in a battle between two of the three teams tied for first place in the SUNYAC at 4-1. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30pm.
