The SUNY Oneonta women's basketball team nearly overcame an 18-point, fourth quarter deficit, but ended up fall, 71-63, at home tonight to Manhattanville.  Senior 
Lyteshia Price (Liverpool/Liverpool), who recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 18 points and 12 rebounds, led the Red Dragons.
 
Trailing 54-36 entering the final quarter, Oneonta (4-3) made a push and cut into the Valiants' lead to where it was only six points with 16 seconds remaining.  Price led the charge with 14 points in the quarter.
 
Senior Bri Pabon led all scorers in the game with 21 points including 13 in the second half.  Pabon hit 7-of-8 free throws down the stretch to help Manhattanville (6-2) secure the victory.

Sara DiPasquale (Buffalo, NY/Cardinal O'Hara) and freshman 
Madeline Frank (Syracuse/Jamesville-Dewitt) combined to score 24 points off the bench for the Red Dragons tonight.
 
The two squads combined to shoot 59 free throws with Oneonta having a 20-17 edge in makes.  Oneonta also finished with a 54-36 advantage off the glass including 21 offensive rebounds, but only converted them into 11 second chance points.
 
Manhattanville never trailed in tonight's game, as they scored the first 13 points en route to a 19-10 lead at the end of the first quarter.
 
Manhattanville senior Ashley Franklin was the only other player in double figures in the contest with 14 points.
 
Oneonta's next contest is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 29 versus Wilmington as part of the Ohio Wesleyan Tournament.  Tipoff is scheduled for 8pm.
