Senior Grace Schilling (Northport/Northport) led four players in double figures tonight with 17 points, as the SUNY Oneonta women's basketball team defeated Oswego 63-51.  The victory for Oneonta raised its overall record to 15-5 including 9-4 in the SUNYAC while the Lakers fall to 6-14 overall and 2-11 in conference play.

Oneonta trailed only twice in tonight's game, both times coming in the opening minute of each half.  Otherwise, the Red Dragons were in control of the contest, leading by 14 points with just under 10 minutes to go in the second half.  The Red Dragons pulled away from Oswego with an 18-6 run over a nine-minute span and then cruised for the final seven minutes of the game.

Schilling added a team high six assists and six steals in 31 minutes of action.  Junior Sarah Longto (Kingston/Kingston) scored 12 points while senior Alyshia Crawford (Oxford/Oxford) and sophomore Bryn Loomis (Norwich/Norwich) contributed 10 points each.

Freshman Brianna Spector (Philadelphia, PA/Upper Dublin) collected eight rebounds to go with five points and a pair of blocks off the bench.

Oneonta shot 46 percent from the field and out rebounded Oswego 39-35.

Oneonta will be home this weekend for games against Fredonia and Buffalo State.  The Red Dragons will face Fredonia on Friday night and Buffalo State on Saturday afternoon.
