The SUNY Oneonta baseball team continued its month long schedule of weekend road contests with three more contests yesterday and today. The Red Dragons came away with a 1-2 record, which included an offensive assault against Swarthmore in game one yesterday for their lone win. Oneonta is currently 3-9 overall and will travel to play St. Joseph's College of Long Island Tuesday before heading to Montclair State on Wednesday.

Jake Robinson (Oyster Bay/Oyster Bay), who was 4-for-4 with four doubles and seven runs batted in. In a 10-run fifth inning, Robinson had a pair of doubles and four runs batted in.
Oneonta broke open a 6-2 game with its 10 runs in the fifth, which supported five strong innings by sophomore
Steve Ascher (Cutchogue/Mattituck), who struck out five batters and allowed only four hits and two runs (one earned) en route to recording his second win of the season.
Senior
Dean Haussel (Sound Beach/Miller Place) and sophomore
Matt Mastroianni (Somers/North Salem) each collected three hits while senior
Rob Peluso (Rensselaer/Columbia) had a pair of hits. Haussel had a pair of doubles and drove in three runs. Mastroianni had a double, drove in a apir of runs and scored three times. Peluso scored two runs while also driving in two runs.
In game two of the doubleheader, Oneonta made four errors and managed only six hits in a 4-1 loss. Junior Chris Orlando had two hits including a triple to lead the offense. Sophomore
Alex Mastrianni (Valatie/Ichabod Crane) went the distance allowing 10 hits and three earned runs.
In today's loss to nationally ranked Kean, the Cougars jumped on starter
Mike McFerran (Albany/Catholic Central), who lasted only two-thirds of an inning while surrendering seven earned runs.
Offensively, Mastroianni and Orlando each had two hits to lead the Red Dragons. Oneonta had five players drive in one run each.
