Oneonta scored the first 13 points of tonight's game en route to a 55-40 win against Fredonia in SUNYAC women's basketball action.  The win moves the Red Dragons to two games ahead of the Blue Devils in the battle for the final playoff spots for the conference tournament, which begins in 11 days.  Both squads only have four SUNYAC games remaining on the schedule.

Junior Alyshia Crawford (Oxford/Oxford), who scored a collegiate high 23 points, tonight turned in the big game.  Crawford was 7-of-10 from the floor and a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line.

The game was never close, as Oneonta (11-11/8-7 SUNYAC) led by as many as 26 points with eight minutes remaining in the contest.  Fredonia (11-9/6-8 SUNYAC) made the final score closer with its 13-2 final push to end the game.

Junior Jaimie Warren led the Blue Devils with nine points while grabbing a game high 11 boards.

Sophomore Sarah Longto (Kingston/Kingston) contributed 10 points, six rebounds and two blocks to the victory.

Oneonta is scheduled to host Buffalo State at 2pm tomorrow.  Current weather conditions could change the start time or postpone the contest until Sunday.
