Today's SUNYAC women's basketball contest between host SUNY Oneonta and visiting SUNY Potsdam was over early, as the Red Dragons raced to a 37-10 halftime lead en route to a 61-37 victory.  Oneonta (10-10/7-6 SUNYAC) has now won six of its last seven games and has worked themselves back into the thick of the playoff race with five games remaining.  This year's tournament has only six teams and Oneonta has moved itself into the middle of a five-team pack that is vying for probably only three spots.

No one reached double figures today for Oneonta, as all 11 players played in the game, 10 of them scored at least one field goal.  Freshman Bryn Loomis (Norwich/Norwich) and junior Kristin Pappalardo (Mahopac/Lakeland) shared high honors with nine points each.  Junior Grace Schilling (Northport/Northport) had eight points and a team high seven assists and three steals.  Freshman Rebecca Nelson (Syracuse/East Syracuse Minoa) grabbed a collegiate high eight boards.

Potsdam (1-19/0-13 SUNYAC) was led by junior Hannah Kmiecinski, who scored 14 points.

Oneonta will travel to SUNY Cortland on Tuesday night.  Tip-off is scheduled for 6pm.
