Fitzpatrick was key in both goal scoring plays in the victory on Sunday against Rutgers Camden in the Round of 8 of the NCAA tournament. The victory sends Oneonta to San Antonio for the Final Four.

Fitzpatrick tied the score at 1-1 in the 77th minute on a loose ball that the Rutgers defense could not clear. Eric Fortier broke free in the box and sent a ball across the goal that got knocked around. Fitzpatrick followed the play in and blasted the loose ball by the keeper for the his third goal of the season.

He also set up the game winning goal when he got his head to an indirect kick that deflected off the post and fell to Shkreli, who put the ball away for the Red Dragon victory.
