Junior Sarah Timmons was a woman among girls this past weekend at the Cortland Classic as she won all four throwing events in the two-day meet.
On day one, she captured titles in both the Javelin and Hammer. Her toss of 31.52m (125’2”) in the javelin qualifes her for the SUNYAC Championships and her heave of 43.96m (144’3”) hits the ECAC qualifying standard.
On day two, she got things started with a first place finish in the shot put, throwing it 11.21m (36’ 9 1/2”) and came back later that day beating the field by over 10 feet in the discus with a hurl of 40.24m (132’) for the win.
