Smith is red hot for the Red Dragons so far this season. This past week he pitched 14.1 innings in conference action against Fredonia and Oswego.

In the game against Fredonia, Smith went 8.1 innings allowing only two hits and recorded 10 strikeouts in the 2-0 win in the second game of a double-header.

Facing Oswego, Smith had six strikeouts and held the Lakers to only two hits in six innings pitched in the 5-2 win.

Currently, Smith is 2-1 with a 2.22 ERA with 24 strikeouts in 24 innings pitched.
