In the second outdoor competition of the season, Taranto bested the competition this past Saturday at the Towson University in the javelin throw. Taranto recorded a personal best mark of 54.48 meters (178’-9”). His mark soared past his previous best performance by 18 feet while also closing in on the program record.

Taranto is currently competing in his third season for Oneonta. Last spring he was a medalist at the SUNYAC championships after placing third in the javelin.
